Has anyone tried the pre-spawn largemouth in the lower part of Lake Marion so far this year, and have any results to post? We took a trip to the Rocks Pond/Spier’s Landing are in Marion back on 2/10/13, looking to hopefully find some fish that had already moved into shallow water…coves, cypress trees, islands, etc. We struggled with only a couple of bass. Seemed that most of the fish were still in a transition phase and had not really fully moved to the shallows yet. Anyone had any success yet this month?
They are staging. If we get some stable weather, they should move up.
Excuses? I’ve heard them all!
Next couple of weeks ought to do it…will be giving it a go this weekend.
