I came up with;
Coots all time vs SEC = .374 (no that isn’t a typo)
Taters all time vs SEC = .468
Tater logic says they compete better in the sec than the coots do.
Unless you are Alabama, Auburn or LSU, playing in the SEC doesn’t mean anything more than the fact you won’t be there at the end. Throw in what appears to be the reemergence of Florida and it gets even worse for the chickens. The SEC needed another TV market and whipping boy for it’s premier programs, hence the invite to the conference, great forward thinking on the conference’s part. But, it’s cool, they get to chant SEC at every game even if they are losing, they still win. They get to claim NC trophies, when the conference wins another one, by proxy. They get to throw up that 5 thing, even though they aren’t even a .500 team. Finally, they can claim to having some of the greats coach at the university as they faded into obscurity and retire in shame.
For Clemson, they’re riding high with a team that is getting better each week and has a real shot to win out. However, until the Tigers take care of FSU, none of it means a (**() thing. Ranking of #5 = nothing, beat FSU and win out, win the conference and play into a spot, then it means something. I still think they drop one along the way.
