Marlin 6-3

Pretty much normal spread except had big wahoo wacker on a downrigger, an orange yo zuri bonito, and were trolling a little faster hoping to get a wahoo. King hit a red black little stubby on the WWB. Needless to say we were disappointed with the lack of stripes when he got to the boat.

Yea I bet but I’m personally a fan of kings. It’s just not a wahoo. I know on my boat when it’s seen that it’s a wahoo things seem to move fast and people get into action fast. Generally gets loud too

I’ve caught plenty of whites over the years and we’ve managed to release a couple of blues as well, though they were in the 400lb-500lb range…so I haven’t seen a juvenile blue to be very honest…
But, given the round anal fin and dorsal and basically echoing the sentiments of those above…I believe that picture is of a white marlin. I’m 99.9999% sure.
No matter what though…still a nice catch! Congrats!
I hope to run into some of his buddies in a couple weeks. Heading to the OBX.
