If that’s all I have to worry about…there’s nothing to worry about.
The wife and I are planning a trip for next year, any recommendations?
The wife and I leave for Marsh Harbor on March 4th. I do have some business to take care of but hope to have some time to fish also. If you had only one guide service to recommend, which one would it be?
There are lots of good guides on the island. The difficult part is that they are hard to get a hold of, sometimes dont show up, and can overall just be tough to deal with. The black fly lodge and abaco lodge both offer day trips through their lodge without staying any nights. The trips differ from each other. Abaco lodge has a fleet of HB waterman and they run the Marls. Lots of fish, easy to fish. If new to fly fishing, its a great place to get practice because you are pretty much guaranteed fish. The black fly lodge tends to put you in front of bigger fish and possibly some permit and tarpon. If you can do two trips, I would set up one with each. Explain to them whats going on and they will set you up with everything. Staying at either of those lodges is really 5 star service so if you have the opportunity, do it. That being said, there are more affordable ways to do roughly the same thing on the island.

Believe you can find prices on their respective sites. They are definitively no cheap ticket, but it truly is somewhere that is worth every penny.

FWIW, for those wanting to know the cost… just booked a flight through Miami to Marsh Harbour on American - cost was $630.

Went from Orland (MCO) round trip over Christmas for right around $200 then from Palm Beach (PBI) round trip for about $350. There are some deals…you just have to be willing to drive.

sweet pics bro! if anyone is debating on going bonefishing dont worry about the $$$. just charge it on the credit card and worry about it later. I promise it will be worth every minute…and penny. Took my first bonefish trip last feb. and regret making the plane back. I wish i stayed.
