This years tournament turned out to be another fun event for all involved. Weather played a big part in how many fish able days we had, but those who entered did get their opportunities. We did not see the numbers of boats this year but the enthusiasm was no less. 20 Boats entered and took their shot at landing the largest Wahoo, Mahi and Tuna. When the smoke had cleared, the results were clear…
1st Place Wahoo $10,040
44.80 lb Island Girl/Jim Moore
2nd Place Wahoo
40.56 lb In Deep/John Marnell
3rd Place Wahoo
38.08 lb Fish Screamer/Danny Juell
CALCUTTAS
WAHOO Island Girl/ Jim Moore
Mahi 12.72 lb Pirate Watch/Bobby Hall
Tuna 16.64 lb Island Girl/Jim Moore
What this years Tourney lacked in boat numbers certainly did not reflect the same in generosity. The fisherman and community stepped up to the plate and helped us to raise $7,000 for the SHRINE HOSPITALS of the CAROLINAS. With several fisherman donating substantial portions of their winnings back to the cause. We want to Thank everyone involved and hope that they will join us again for next years tournament.
Pictures to follow soon…
