Was wondering how MI did thru Mathew. I saw a pic from after the storm that looked kind of like the Marsh walk & part of it looked to be under water. Any damage to the MI area?
Here is a pic of the Marshwalk during the storm. This mornings paper said it is closed to further notice.

We ate there Monday night and it appeared all of the restaurants were open. The marshwalk had caution tape on the walkway, but people were walking on it anyway. The south end of MI business 17 was closed, looked like trees were across the road.
It took out surfside and springmaid pier. GC pier held together somehow. Ocean Blvd reminds me of the good days back when it was a sand road
I saw some video of what was left of SM pier & heard SS got the end knocked off. They said on the news that several others along SC coast had damage but they did not say which ones.
I remember the days of parking at the end of GC beach road and walking down the beach 3 mi. to MI! Use to camp there during high school in the early 60’s, drank lots of PBR’s and caught a lot of nice flatties. That was way before they dug all the ditches. Havent been there in 35 years, always go south to Edisto!
