Went out on Sat morn to troll for some mahi. Fog was pretty thick until we passed the jetties. Headed out to 226 and joined the other 50 boats in the area to try our luck. Pretty slow but landed one decent gaffer(25+lbs) around 10am. Decided we had enough, went to try out some bottom numbers. Caught a lot of the “endangered” BSB every bottom spot we tried. I ended up jumping in the water with my spear gun at the last spot and ended up getting a few spade fish and a nice 43.4lb cobia. Nice way to bless the new gun. All in all a good day even though I lost my spear gun tip and final spade fish when the tip unscrewed.

A few wraps of teflon tape will fix your tip problem…ask me how I know
