Only got out a few times in May with mixed results. Earlier in the month before the shrimp showed up in the creeks the reds and black drum action was pretty steady using mullet and crab. Trout were hit and miss as the water clarity changed and I had difficulty finding a color/pattern of artificial that worked. Tried for sheeps a few times and had some success, but nothing great - few keepers but mostly shorties. As the water temps picked up and the shrimp started showing up the reds and trout cooperated more and the action was good - all except this past Saturday during the neep tides- which I have yet to figure out - The bite was nearly non-existent, bait was not as active at night - it was like all marine life was on holiday or out of town for the weekend. Can anyone help me understand why at times this occurs, specifically around the smaller tide cycles?
Looks like some good catching…hope you weren’t solo on that trip…
As far as the small tides go… they are hit or miss for me too… you’re doing well enough it seems! Maybe someone will chime in with some better info, for now just keep trying different things until you can get it figured out!

Thanks guys. Still trying figure out so many things. This was a trip with a few out of town guests and the fish cooperated this day. The balance of the month of May was sorta slow for me.
