The day started out as though the only Mayhem & Madness was going to be the weather. Sat at the SI ramp at 530AM waiting on the thunder storm to roll on past. As the heavy rain subsided, we launched the boat and off we went. Worked the cans for bait with no luck! Couldn’t believe that, thinking, uh oh, what kind of day is this going to be??? As we passed the C2 Bouy we negotiated around and then between some big thunderstorms and the sky opened up to the better. Preceded to Comanche only to be frustrated as H*** with the sharks and amberjacks. Landed a few nice Beeliners, but lost about 2 dozen rigs. With the storms building ever so slowly and inching our way, decided to move away from them into 80’. That is when it was game on, found our 4 man limit of very nice size ARS. Have yet to catch more than one that size when bottom fishing, so we were pumped up that we ended up with 4 big 'uns. Released 2 others that were smaller.
Ended the day with:
4 ARS
1 Gag
19 Beeliners
1 Grunt - the biggest grunt I have ever seen
2 Black Fish
1 trigger
1 Pinkie
