Just decided to fish this with my son on Saturday.
Anyone know how many boats are expected to be entered?
usually 35 or so.

Nice…I think it was 48 when we picked up our stuff. I imagine this weather probably brought out some people that were on the fence.

Had a blast fishing my first inshore tx and lady luck was on our side.
It was a pretty slow day of fishing for us, but got a day maker after our first 15 min of fishing in the am. Got our only slot red that just happened to be a ---- hair short of 23". Most of the trout we caught were short, but did manage a few legal fish. No flatties for us, but a 3+ lb. and 6+ lb. were weighed in.
Our reds all caught on mm and trout on mm and grubs.
Picked up $220 for the big redfish (4.64) calcutta and $745 for 3rd aggregate weight, so that helped offset some of the costs for my “guide”, Nevermind. (18 years food and shelter, stolen beer from the fridge, bail money, lawyer fees, etc…)
All in all a great day on the water with some great weather, good company and picked up a few $$ to boot.
Also, a very kid friendly tx. It was great to see so many young kids that were entered.

Yes, we were well aware that live well saved the day for us. I couldn’t believe how close they were.

Been at them scales most my life except when unckle sam saod otherwise…congrats was a great turn out for my daughters school and got to love ot when its that tight at the scales real heartbreaker for my team this year
