Darted out for a couple hours around 9am. Stopped at a spot Hoppy and I used to fish a couple years ago, went 200 yards with the trolling motor, 1st cast was inhaled by an 8 pound red. Next 7 cast resulted in 2 spit hooks, 1 came unbuttoned and 3 landed fish. Got 20 to 25 in couple hours…White Gulp Jerk Shad on a 4/0 worm hook, no weight…nice way to spend the morning. Talked to a couple other guys at the marina and everyone had about the same story.
