Cool…let’s set the final details:
Meet and Fish - December 14th at Paradise Landing - meet at 0800. Bring a mini-rod (30" or less) if you want to participate in the mini-rod challenge. Biggest fish caught will win - Catch, Photo, Release… I’ll have a computer on hand to read SD cards and such. No cost to participate - just a fun challenge for braggin’ rights and maybe a little prize for the winner, too. We’ll sketch out the details (weigh-in time, etc) at the landing that morning.
High tide is at 6:45 that morning - low tide around 12:45 that afternoon.
Paradise Landing is at the very end of Chandler Road, near Awendaw. Take HWY 17 north out of Mount Pleasant - when you get to the new hospital on the left - go about 3.5 miles and Chandler Road will be on the left.
If you have any questions - please ask in the thread or you can PM me!
I haven’t made a Meet & Fish in a while but hope to make this one. My kids really keep me going and frankly while I hate not being able to fish, I know the day will come when they are not here anymore (I have one leaving next year). For the “contest”, how about a poker like contest. Everyone bring a little something (lure, pack of hooks, spool of line, etc), throw that in teh pot and winnner gets the pot. I don’t say this with any illusions of winning, just thought it might be fun and anyone that wants to play puts whatever they are comfortable with in the pot.

I’m game for DFreedom’s suggestion…Great idea.
For the Mini-Rod challenge…As LGB indicated on some earlier threads that the Mini-Rod needs to be in the photo of the fish.

Excellent idea! Everyone that wants to do that, bring a little something to add to the kitty…

Yes - the mini-rod will be your ‘token’ for the tournament. Fish on ruler or measuring device with nose on zero, with the rod visible in the photo along with the fish. One of the things we’ll discuss at the launch…
Has a definite place and time been set?

December 14th at 0800 - Paradise Landing…
JP - give me a call or send me a text - my phone had problems recently and I lost your number…thanks!
Contest all bait works…Plastics, Spoons, Lures,…Bait. Correct.
Can’t make it on a standby at work with a response time so I can’t be out on the water. Good luck guys.

I am actually not working the Friday before! I will have actually slept before a Meet and Fish. Lol. Hopefully the weather will play nice.
Great Lost@Sea…It will be great to hear some fishing tales from down under.
Is this still on, or is it rescheduled due to weather?

The weekend forecast is looking bad. Not sure I want to drive from Columbia for that.

Yep - looks like rain. Y’all want to try for next weekend? Would that work with it being so close to Christmas?
A little rain wouldnt’t bother me. But the early afternoon thunderstorms are enough to keep me off the water. Maybe next week?
Yeah JP…I don’t want to risk it, especially with the lower water temps and the wind forecast looks bad too. We’ll see what the forecast looks like for next Saturday and go from there…
Chime in folks - let me know if next Saturday (December 21) would work…thanks!
Right now that works for me but, lately I don’t seem to be the master of my own life. I’ll pencil it in.

Next Saturday is good for me. This weekend looks nasty!
Next Saturday is good for us, may still hit tomorrow as it looks like there might be a window in the am.
