Can someone who has launched there give some basic driving directions from Hwy 174? Or even better a map?

Just as you get on to Edisto, you will pass the Old Post office Restaurant on the left. Botany Bay road will be on the left a mile or so after the post office. Follow it all the way down (dirt road) and you can’t miss the entrance.

Thanks DD.

I assume it is the area marked “Car Top Boat Access”.

How did the meet and fish go?

Any pictures? I’ve been meaning to tag along for one of these… Hopefully next month!

The Meet and FIsh ended up being a little light on attendance but i am sure the distance might have had something to do with it. Other wise it was a beautiful area and a great day on the water with a good group of guys. The fishing was pretty slow with only a few fish caught and a few small groups of large reds seen. I have fished that area in the summer and it is a great spot to fish. I think a little more time to learn the area or someone who knew the area better would have produced better results.

Next month’s meet and fish will be held at 'The Hatchery" on Lake Moultrie on Sunday the 3rd. I will post up the time as the date gets closer. I know that we have been there before but with the KBF Invitational only a couple of weeks afterwards this will be a good chance for people to scout the area.

Nice. Ended up having some bad picante sauce the night before, faucet was still runnin that mornin. figured I’d stay out of the yak to play it safe, lol.

Carter , I was planning on pre-fishing the Hatchery that Saturday , I might meet up with the Lowcountry club that Sunday if that’s ok.

May have been slow but looks like you took some nice flatties home.
