Took the kayak out Cherry Grove Marsh. Headed back in the creek. Dead low tide. Come across a deserted Crab pot. In about 6 in of water. It was totally overgrown. But it had about 20 stone crabs init. And a bunch of carcasses. Harvested 13 claws.Stopped at plants and got some shrimp to go with them.

nice, hope you crushed the pot when you released them.

Yep I mashed the pot flat and put it at the end of a oyster rake.
Oh yeah supper was good and the wife was happy. she didn’t have to cook.

A buddy of mine and I were diving several years ago, and when he went to grab a stone crab, it literally broke his finger. Strong little suckers.
