1st offshore trip of the year- started the day trolloing inside the banks 15 minutes into the season, triple knockdown- land all 3 reef donkeys- never caught a donkey trolling let alone a triple. Things went quiet after that for awhile, worked offshore to 350 ft, no signs of life, headed back to work the ledge. Action picked up after lunch 5 dolphin, 4 gaffers, 1 nice bull and a nice hoo added to the box for good measure. Missed a couple nice fish but overall a good day w/ a good crew. Pretty rough headed out but it laid down for a great ride home.
we got donkey kong’d on saturday in about the same place. they knocked down all five lines at once… took us about 10 minutes to get them in. only had 3 on the bote… one was his second time away from land and not much time spent on any bote. talk about a chineese fire drill-
