Been looking forward to a good AM low for a while. Got it today.
Sunrise on the water.
Got to my favorite stretch, hopped up, and started poling around. The reds were everywhere, grouped up and just crushing. Trouble was, with the muddy water, and low sun, it was really hard for me to pick em off. Took it real slow, and waited for the sun to come up.
Around 8, things started coming together just as the water was creeping up to the grassline. Visibility improved good, and it was all I needed to get some good opportunities. Ended up going 4/7 on fish, biggest being I’d say 28" maybe 29" loaded w/ spots. He was leading a group of 5-6 working the grassline.
Tons of bonnets crusin this AM. Really need to get a shark rod prepped.
Hope everyone had a great memorial day weekend, and to all the vets on C.F. THANKS!
