Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up and loudly proclaiming, “WOW! What a ride!”

they’ll be down here (beaufort) this month if the weather will settle out a little.

we have been cast netting small ones off the folly pier sporadically over the past couple of weeks. every time a cold front comes thru they disappear for a while. small schools, the birds let us know when their near.

Fish tremble at the mention of my name.

What water temp do we have to reach before they come in thick?

Cast netting from folly pier??? I have fished off the quite a few times and have never even thought it was possible. How long is your line??

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. </font id=“size2”>

Caught some today in the harbor and of course they were in front of the island…small to med mix…not the tiny ones…

Everyone should believe in something, I believe I’ll go fishing !!!

I only hit the pier a few times a year but if the bait is thick below I always get off a few casts. Because the bait is on top I only have to add about 8-12 extra feet of parachute cord to my net line (depending on tide) … works like a charm. Not to mention each cast brings more bait than you can use so people start to become your friend. Almost like winning the lottery … Family and friends come from everywhere.

Found them today on the beach; north of the jetties. Small
