Menhaden around Murrells Inlet?

Anyone have any reports for menhaden around the inlet or back in the waterway? Have a chance to visit my buddy down that way and do some fishing this weekend. Wanted to know if anyone could give me a heads up.
Thanks,
Scott

Look back in the little neighborhood coves near the mouth of MI. Can usually see them flashing in the water in the calm water back among the houses.

Thanks - had a few others say somehing similar, and to try in front of the Hot Fish Club as well.

tons of them in the creeks, best 2 hrs either side of low tide
They were all over by Veterans Pier Today

Seem to always catch them around Marlin Quay Marina

Ive been kayak fishign off the beach between Pawley’s and MI a lot lately and I usually have no problem finding balled up schools of menhadden about 200 yards off the beach

No luck catching any Friday evening in the waterway when we arrived (PLENTY of jumping mullet though…) but found perfect menhaden sized baits today past the South Jetty about halfway between the end of the jetty and the sea buoy. They were in a line and not balled up tight but THICK! Cruise up on them and you can see thousands of them when you get to the blackest part of the underwater cloud. Thanks for all the replies, and I hope my info helps you find them.

Never found any inside but found them past the south jetty, about halfway from the jetty to the sea buoy. Very thick and we had plenty.
