I’ve used the oil and it mostly floats, been told the milk gets more dispersed …

I’ve always wondered how they milk a fish.

i use the oil, you can see the oil sheen on top of the water and run back through it

Menhaden oil will only apply a slick on the surface of the water. Menhaden milk will will mix thorugh out the water column. I use both when mako fishing off of OCMD. When I start my slick I have a spray bottel of menhaden oil I drive slow maybe 3 kts in to the current and my brother sprays it off the back ot the boat. I also freeze half a gallon of Menhaden milk in a coffee can. I put this is a chum bag and drop down 20 ft and tow it behid the boat this put out flow below the surface. I will do this for a 1/4 to 1/2 mile. I will then anchor or drift and place a drip bag of each off of each of my outriggers and use cut up blue fish and mackerl to chum more. I put out 3 line and wait!
