yes maybe not electrocuted but it heated the ring up enough to burn my finger. I had a nice blister all the way around my finger in the shape of a ring. It felt amazing too.
me thinks you just set a PeaPod trap…
I have a platinum band and although I’ve never accidentally electroducted myself it seems to be pretty durable…might also wanna check on tichranium or stainless steel rings…much less expensive and also very durable…

Just get a 10Kt Gold Ring. Durable and lasts, not very expensive and does the job it needs to do.
Agree completely. Not really a gold (color) guy so I got a white gold ring, it looks silver. Cost a couple hundred dollars. Been wearing it 10 years this month.
White gold seems to work better than titanium. Lost a lot of weight and the jewelry store told me they could not resize titanium when it started falling off. They can easily resize gold as needed.

They can cut titanium in the ER? They must have some serious nips of some sort, but then again I’m sure they are accustomed to seeing titanium bands.
Tungsten carbide likely won’t cut. It’s going to be like tempered glass, it will just break. Most likely, a carbide ring could be broken off if struck with a hammer, with a hard surface underneath. Obviously you’d need to be careful not to whack the patient lol.
I’ve known carbide rings to break just by guys slapping their hand onto a granite countertop.
Saying “I am offended” is telling everyone else that you cannot control your own emotions, and thus you need everyone else to do it for you.
Out of 3 Ed’s I’ve worked in Summerville had the best set up it was like a Dremmel tool with a little metal guard that would slide between the finger and the ring so you could cut the ring with a cutoff wheel at high speed but not the finger. The other ones still used a cutoff wheel but you had to turn it by hand like a can opener, they are a PIA but with time you can still get through titanium with them.

Dudes! You are tools of the jewelry trade. The male wedding band is a 20th century invention designed to get you to spend your hard earned dollars. Google it if you don’t believe me. A wedding ring is a recognized safety hazard in many many trades and jobs. I have one somewhere in a drawer that’s been there for 30 years, and I’ve been married to the same woman for 33. Like cigarettes, I quit and never looked back. I don’t do jewelry, tattoos, or stupid hats, and I shaved off my mustache when I finally figured out that pulling out the white hairs wasn’t worth it anymore. Come on guys, grow a pair and tell your wives that you ain’t no dog, you’re a man, and you ain’t wearin’ no “collar”.
I’m with Bossdog. A wedding band will get you killed or lose a finger. If you work with your hands any jewelry is a big danger. I’ve been married 41 years. Haven’t worn a ring or a watch in 40 years. Saw a guy jerk his finger clean off on a helicopter door once. My wife worked ER for about 10 years, she understands why I leave mine in the drawer. If you feel you have to wear one, at least wear one that is soft and easily cut off.
