I took the day off work Thursday morning to do some bottom fishing with my son and daughter. It was a beautiful day on the ocean. We caught plenty of the usual bottom dwellers b-liners, red porgies, c-bass, 2 legal ARS and a 22 lb scamp. We topped the day off by hooking a 6-7 foot tiger shark.

how long it take you to get that tiger in? Uncle went on charter in florida, caught a 9’ hammerhead and took 1 1/2 hrs on big equipment. That’s a nice fish there also!..

The shark bit on squid on the bottom. I was lucky that the hook stayed perfectly in the corner of his mouth or he would have easily bit through my 100lb leader. The fight lasted for 20-30 min.

Haha no we didn’t catch any keeper fish on that rod. We put a sabiki rig on that one to catch bait.
Thats what I was thinking but it was laying right there in front of tb with the grouper!!! Thats funny there, now thats light tackle!!!
