Any of you guys into metal detecting? I have been researching what unit to buy and thought I would try here for what unit I should settle on. Willing to spend $300-$500.

Spend most weekends after deer season doing it. I would say having good property to look on is the most important. Well I guess it depends on what you like to find. I have a garret 250 probably will upgrade to a pro this year or next.
I have the Garrett AT Pro. It’s a pretty good starting machine. Easy to use, works from the beach to the uplands. Keep an eye on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace (where I found mine).
