Fished out of mi, caught some nice sea bass and a few ring tails. Couldn’t find any grouper or b liners.
50-60 feet deep?
We were out of mi today too, lot of dirty water inshore
I put the wrong date in. We fished Wednesday the 7th, shift work is melting my brain. We fished 60 ’ and caught a few then went out farther to some hard bottom in 85’ caught some more caught one real nice one there also. Any thing I should do different to target vermilion after getting a limit of bsb?
Maybe some that know more than me can chime in, but B liners school up. You are best served tryin in 100 ’ of water. Use squid. Use your sounder. They are normally off the bottom.

quote:Yes, when you said you caught BSB and ringtails, you gave away your depth. For vermilion you want to get deeper. At least 80'. In the fall we saw them everywhere in 100', but if you go to the big ledge you are bound to get into them pretty thick.

We fished in 90’ - 110’ on 5/4 and caught plenty of vermillion…problem is they were only 10".
It ain’t no mystery…this beer’s history!
