Middle Wando 12/17 & 12/19

Checked the weather for Monday and decided to give it a shot before the rain came in. The bite was ok, but I had to cover some water to find em. I ended with 12 trout (up to 17"), 1 red (23"), and another December flounder.

I also got out today and the weather man lied about the wind. It wasn’t too bad but it certainly was not 5mph. It did not seem to effect the fish though. I ended up with 38 trout (up to 21.5"), 6 reds( up to 28"), and another December flounder!! That makes 9 this month! I have been getting the larger trout in quite shallow water while using hard twitch baits. The rest of the fish have been on the ZMan SwimmerZ and Streakz.

Awesome job! Our reports are almost the same. Yours a little better

Can I ask where you put in at? I make day trips down there, I live upstate. The middle part looks tough to get to from Paradise.

thanks

I launched from Paradise and paddled down. I made it almost all the way to the 41 bridge!

Well in us normal kayak fishermens defense, we paddle outmr yaks, not peddle. With the mirage drive you van go for miles!

I made that same trip about 4 weeks ago. Got skunked, a lot of motorboat traffic. Sounds like you did pretty well. Has anyone put in at Paradise and gone upstream and had any luck?

I have had a lot of good days above Paradise catching tons of trout, some nice Reds, and a few Rock fish.

Its gets skinny going north but just like any other water around here there are fish. You just have to put in the time and learn the area.
