Good job stonoman. I look forward to meeting you Saturday. I donā€™t understand the problems the organizers are having getting boats. That doesnā€™t say much for our local fishing fleet. Iā€™m a long way from being a wealthy guy but this is a small price to show our appreciation to those who serve.

maybe i could get david letterman to give me a ā€œTop 10 Reasons not to take a Hero Fishingā€ā€¦

  1. my bottom paint is drying.
  2. my dog chewed the blades off my prop.
  3. my wife is using the boat that weekend.
  4. all my hooks are dullā€¦
    someone else can do 5-10.

5)All of my reels have birds nests.
6)I lost my anchor in the grillage and wonā€™t have a new one in time.
7)Batteries are dead
8)I donā€™t know how to catch fish
9)I just winterized my boat
10)I support the military verbably, but have other things I would rather do on the 14thā€¦

Itā€™s sad reallyā€¦ One day out of the year to take a service member fishing and see a truely grateful smile and something like missing a football game you want to see is probably the main reason.
