I use stock salt and a trace mineral salt blend made for cattle. I mix about one part stock salt to three parts trace mineral. Is there something else you know of that works well and can be used on WMA?

I buy the 50# brown trace mineral/ salt block from the feed store or tractor supply. You talking about blending, are you getting it in loose form? I guess in a block form you’d run the risk of someone taking it or hunting your spot if they see the block on a WMA.
Never hunted a WMA, but I’d imagine finding a good used trail and learning traveling patterns may be more beneficial than baiting on an area that you have no control who may be in it.
Not sure on baiting rules on a WMA, but a cheap jar of peanut butter with a 1" hole at the bottom tie strapped to a tree(about 3’ up) works good as bait. Amazing how those woods goats will lick it clean!
Either way, hope you have a great season. Sure has come back around quick!

2.6 – On all WMA lands, baiting or hunting
over a baited area is prohibited. As used in this
section, “bait” or “baiting” means the placing,
depositing, exposing, distributing, or scattering
of shelled, shucked, or unshucked corn,
wheat, or other grain or other food stuffs to
constitute an attraction, lure, or enticement to,
on, or over any area. “Baited area” means an
area where bait is directly or indirectly placed,
deposited, exposed, distributed, or scattered
and the area remains a baited area for ten
(10) days following the complete removal of
all bait. Salt/minerals are not considered bait.
That is correct! That is the rules for turkey hunting. The deer hunting rules say that mineral licks are not bait and you can use that on the WMA.

Copied straight from the deer regulations for WMA land.

And your point is what? I posted the rule on baiting WMA straight out of the book for the OP, It clearly states what is and isn’t bait.
Drop it.
