Minn Kota I Pilot

Hey all - first time writing here but big time follower, quick question…

I want to purchase a trolling motor for my 212 sportman open, anyone test the ipilot? I need 72" and this looks like the best option.

I’m happy with mine. I’ve had it for about 2 1/2 yrs. with no issues. Powerdrive V2, 55#, 55" shaft, on my 16’ Lund.

6 years strong. Wouldn’t have a boat without one.

For that large of a boat, if you can afford it, I would go for the Ulterra. I would not want to keep dragging a 72" shaft model up and down when I wanted to stow/deploy.

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING

Been really happy w/ mine for the year and a half that I’ve had it.

There are some previous threads that go into greater detail on discussion. You should be able to find them using the search function.

Chris V at Charleston Marine can fix you up. That’s were I got mine. They do a great job. Fantastic customer service.

What do you consider the "standard" quick release? Thanks
