Minn Kota Riptide Slow slow

I have a 2 year old Minn Kota Riptide that plugs into a 3-prong outlet on my Scout. For some reason the RPMs for each of the 10 speeds are much lower than normal. It will still cycle through all 10 speeds but at a much lower RPM than it should. The audible beeps that indicate on/off and accel/decel seem to be working fine. The batteries are fully charged and reasonably new. Any ideas? The only thing that has changed since it was last working properly: I had a new onboard battery charger installed recently because the last one died on me and would not provide a charge to the battery bank.

I would double check all the wiring connections for corrosion and any “loosewires”. I would also have the batteries checked and load tested.

I think I once heard ChrisV say that most issues with TM’s are at the 3 prong outlet. Thats where I would start. Prob just replace it.

although mine is a 4 prong plug, my trolling motor was cutting out at and near full throttle. I removed the plug and cleaned all the connections. works fine now.

since you are having the issue after the charger was replaced, i would definately check battery voltage.
if its a 24 volt system, make sure its not running off 12 volts
