Per request, a review
I just had this installed, but do love it so far. Well at least the idea of it.
Haven’t had it on the water yet but so far it seems like it will be good. It seems to atleast jar the boat around about on the trailer.
I do like the ideas behind the talon comparitively to power pole. I have
never. seen the power pole in action to properly compare the two. It comes with two wireless remotes, and along with controls on the unit itself, I have controls in front, back, and middle with included bracket that attaches to dash( place remote in)

how deep does it go and how does the price compare to the power pole?

IMO closest power pole equivalent
Power pole pro series II 8 msrp $1599 which is an 8’ model
I paid 1499 fully installed.
As far as true depth, hopefully hitting the water on Saturday, I will post some info as how it performed.
Was out on sat in fairly rough choppy areas held great in 6’ which was in the harbor area, extended fully however. So probably around 2’ in ground.
Also while on a flat in around 1’ water it extended 5’. Must have been some real soft mud there.
And to point out, I never had the “rough water” button engaged. It performed quite well, no complaints what so ever. IMO money well spent. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
