I have been pricing the 8’ and mounts. I’d like to hear some opinions on wether these things are worth the ~$1400 (just one at this time). That’s a lot of money but I can see where it would be worth it for the serious fisherman who is on the water every weekend. Especially tidal waters. Swing away guys!
I think it totally depends on how you fish out of what kind of boat. I fish a Hells bay guide and my goal is to be light and mobile. The push pole holds me very well and no extra batteries to increase my draft. When I fished a bay boat the cost of a power pole/talon and the repair cost kept me using a Cajun anchor or a stick pin.

Howabout the I pilot trolling motor and a Stick It anchor. The I Pilot is $1200 and the Stick It anchor is $75 tops. In real shallow water use the Stick It, in deeper water use a mushroom anchor or the I Pilot anchoring mode. The I-Pilot will “anchor” you in 100’ of water. Basically the same cost of a Talon or Powerpole but you get more uses and flexibility. In my opinion, paying $1400 to anchor in water 8’ or less is kind of expensive.
Thanks for the ■■■■■■■■ guys…this helps alot. Talon/power pole options are really about convenience. If a Stick It or something similar will work the same thats probably what i will go with. I dont think the convenience is worth the $1400.
