Hunkerdown, a friend and I went to the 226. Great ocean! Had a couple of knockdowns early. We did manage a gaffer cow and a 5-6’ mako. The mako was tagged, but before we could get the info off the tag he let go. Saw a few flyers and other bait. At least we got a little tablefare.
Congratz to all that made it out there yesterday and had some success! I can’t wait until next trip!!

I was glad you was there even if this fishin was slow. Thanks for watching my back, I owe ya one,
I got back to dock with 1/4 tank so gas mileage is better than I thought.
Better luck next time.
Fishing on the bottom is like having sex with the lights turned off. It feels good but I wanna see it.
Lights On!
Glad ya’ll were able to get some of the early season bugs worked out. I bet the mako had your heart pumping…any jumps? As soon as my hand heals up, I’m ready to buddy boat or fish together.

Smily, no problem at all! We are supposed to have each other’s backs, especially out there! You or anyone else can always count on the Miss Amanda to do its best to help out in any situation (if possible for my little boat:smiley:)!
How big of a tank do you have? Mine is only a 60 gallon tank, but we normally only burn a little over half. We burned a little more Tuesday due to my running hard and runnning further before jumping off.

Yeah, we thought we possibly had a real nice meat fish until he showed himself. Oh well, just one more different species my boat has caught since taking her out there …
I’m ready for us to get together and bring home some hoos and phins!

We went about 5-10 miles beyond 226, we came back to 10 miles inside 226, back to 226 and then over to 150 line stopped at a few bottom spots. Then back to Shem Creek
