Hydrotherapy, one of his friends and I had a fun time out on the pond yesterday. We only brought home 17, but we had a blast. We had a couple triples with one quadruple hookup. That is always fun. We fished roughly 10-12 miles NW of the 226 hole(if I am remembering correctly) in a weed field that was somewhat productive between all the line clearing. We were between 180 and 210’ with my unit reading between 78 and 80. I hooked one of our biggest bulls on a jig and spinning gear. He was following another one that was getting ready to take a boat ride. They were both still well of the stern. Right after casting and the jig hitting the water, he nailed the jig. He put on a nice show with great color. His body turn dark blue with his fin and even darker blue. I guess that’s why we all go out there!!
I wish we had video of me body slamming then bear hugging a nice bull on the bow that was trying to escape. I wasn’t going to let that happen again!
The ride out was a little snotty here and there for my little boat, but we ran in at between 35 and 38mph.
It was surely a good, safe day out there! Thanks Paul for coming along to help out and for making the trip more enjoyable!! Can’t wait for the next trip!!
Paul had two fish on, his friend had one, and I had one on in the holder. Good times!!
Man, these look small, or maybe I just look big…
The crew for the day…

Lynn, nice going. I was the center console who hailed you late in the afternoon, the Yodaddy. My buddy saw your boat and said, man, that guy is out here in a 20 ft keywest . . . just from seeing your pictures on here, knew it was you with the big hat. I appreciate you letting us know how you were doing. We fished that area first thing in the AM and didn’t do much so we pushed deep, only to find a few dolphin and billfish. We did have a few knockdowns in there after we spoke with you. Ended 0-1 on sails and got a white, first billfish for the boat. Wish we would have stayed shallow, congrats on your day.
Very nice Lynn. We put in the same time at shem creek. It’s always good to finally put a face with a name. I think we fished the same weed line you guys fished but left it around 11 or so because we got tired of fighting all the scattered weeds.Ended up with 13 phins and a hoo.I bet with a quadrupal hook-up it looked like a chinese fire drill. Great Job!!!
