"Miss Amanda" 8/31/09

Long Enuff, PressureDropSF and I trolled around a little bit today before it got kind of snotty. [:0] We started shallow close to Commanche and worked out to around 260’. PressureDropSF got to reel in his first wahoo. After that it got a little rough as there was a strong looking storm in the distance. We saw a couple of big funnels form up and touch down. It was the first time that I have ever seen two funnels form that close together. Oh yeah, we also caught a small cow dolphin and a few cudas.:smiley: We never got wet from rain, but managed to get soaked anyway! :face_with_head_bandage:

Congrats to all that found some meat fish today! For us, we had a great time, and hopefully we’ll get them next time!! :wink:

When I woke up this morning, to the thunder and rain, I thought, “I wonder if he’s ACTUALLY going to go out today?” HA HA HA!! I mean, being I woke up to the thunder at about 6 a.m., and knew you were already out there.

So glad you were able to get out, and glad that you got back safe. The “Miss Amanda” seems to be a boat of firsts lately. Congrats. Can’t wait to get out with ya again, Lynn.

You the man lynn!!! There is nothing like taking someone fishing and they catch there first no matter what it is, its always great!!! Glad you had a safe and fun trip!!! Hope to get out there with you on the MISS AMANDA!!!

Yeah man, as I have said before, I love watching the different expressions on the angler’s face during a fight! Dan did real well with his first hoo. It hit the way back, so he got to fight it for a little while. :smiley: His big grin would change to a slight grimace here and there…

thanks to lynn and bill for a great day, even on a slow day the miss amanda can stil catch’em up and she sure can handle some weather.

We may have something in the works for Thursday if the weather shapes up for us. I may need one more to give us three. I have myself and another for sure. My third is questionable at this point. I would love to get back out there, I’m starting to have withdrawals, especially reading about the few wahoo that have been caught lately! :wink: We’ll see what Mother Nature will allow…
