"Miss Amanda" 9/15

Long Enuff, Got2Go and I had a great time yesterday with a boat ride and fellowship. Unfortunately, we did not bring home any meat fish, but we still had fun on a beautiful ocean. We started close to Commanche and worked out to the ledge. We managed a few cudas and a tuna reject. Long Enuff hooked and landed his second sail in 3 trips. :sunglasses: The run in was nice until around 30 miles from the rocks. It got a little snotty. I wish we could have found Mr. Hoo and 5 of his friends, but that is fishing.

Good job Lynn!

Fishing on the bottom is like having sex with the lights turned off. It feels good… but I wanna see it.
Lights On!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of dust with a rod in one hand and a beer in the other,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming…

WOW -WHAT A RIDE!!!

The lure hanging out of the sail’s mouth is a blue/white Black Hole Island lure. As for depth, I think we were in around only 170’ at that time. We only went out to around 280’ before zig zagging the ledge before heading in…

Fishing is like a box of chocolates, “you never know what you are going to get.” We all had a good time, enjoyed a great day on the ocean, and I still have plenty of fish in the freezer! Look on the bright side Lynn, you didn’t have any fish to clean!

Long Enuff

Lynn, Call me if you need anyone to fill a seat. I am diving on the chas 60 all weekend but I don’t think I am doing anything next week. It’s been too long since we have fished.

Great job guys!! Way to go LE!! Two sails now, huh? Very cool.

Sorry you didn’t get to see the entire Whoo family jump into the boat Lynn, but it sure looked like a nice day to be out on the water. Glad you guys had a good time.

Sounds good! It might have to be the week after next before I am available. LE and I are gonna chase some shrimp next week. We definitely need to get out somewhere and wet a hook!!

According to my unit, the temp stayed between 84.2 and 84.9 most of the time(if I remember correctly). My unit may read a degree or two high though…

Hey lynnn
I see your still at it, nice sail.
Here is a fish story – i shoulda stayed home. We towed the boat up to NC outer banks for a week of fishing in there furtile waters.
A low pressure parked itself there for the entire week whipping up the seas and dropping more rain in three days than they have had all year. The destiny never even left the trailer. What a bummer man.
we finally gave up and when up to DC and participated in the Tea party there. It was more fun than sitting in NC looking out the window at a turbulent unfishable ocean. Just reading all the signs was a hoot. I have no idea how many people were there but it was alot and i feel better for at least trying to be heard. At least i didn’t have to leavegood fishing to go

Sorry to hear that you didn’t get to catch any fish. At least it sounds like you had some fun though. Are you going to come down this way to try for the striper during the “season”??

What ever do you mean?? I have only been 17 or 18 times.
All the trips have been great and safe, but not always productive as far as meat fish goes. At least, so far, the Miss Amanda hasn’t been totally skunked. I need to hurry and knock on some wood now!![:0]:wink:

Even though I know that this time of year is not the most productive off our coast (as far as trolling, in my little experience), I have a sickness, and need the bluewater!!:sunglasses::smiley:
