This is why preseason polls should cease to exist. They are nothing more than biased media launching pads. Let the whole country play at least 8 games , then have the first poll based on thier own performance and strength of competition. Every year Alabama gets a cushy spot in the top 3. Let them prove it. So far they have 2 close calls and a loss, yet still in the top 7. Really. BS media bias.

This is why the Playoff Committee doesn’t meet until then. It is also why the AP and Coaches polls are irrelevant this year. I agree 100% that preseason polls mean nothing. Heck, just take Auburn as an example, they won the NC without even being ranked to start the season a few years ago then played for the NC last year after starting the season unranked. Miss St is another one that is playing better than the “experts” ever thought. Preseason means nothing, none of them up to week 8 or 9 give that much indication as to where a team is by the end or last quarter of the year. Compare the preseason to where we are now using the AP/Coaches as a barometer if you want, it looks nothing like it did week 1. Let it play out, the #1 team will be apparent at the end of the year.
Fact is, the only team that should have a reason to complain or ***** about the selections will be #5 on the outside looking in.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.
