Looking to buy a skiff / flats boat for under 7k…tiller or center console / side console…40-50hp motor…with trailer… I have been looking on craigslist like crazy all over the south carolina and its pretty slim picking right now. I have found a few but have not gotten any response… If anyone has one, or has any ideas it would be much appreciated…

I would Check the savannah, Hilton head, Wilmington, myrtle beach and other close coastal town craigslists. . .I’ve been looking around for skiffs too and those cities have some good stuff. If you don’t mind the drive.

thanks buckwheat…I’m def. looking all over, It might be better once the fall hits and people that just bought boats realize they are a money pit…I did however look at a Release 15 Classic w/ 40hp Mercury…Anyone know anything about these boats, looks great but it has been sitting at the dealer for about 9 months, there has to be a reason…Any thought?

Yes. Most sellers want to get 1 more summer out of it before selling…assuming it’s in good working condition.
Have you tried search tempest? Searches all Craig’s List and Ebay within a certain number of miles. Looks like there are some out there to look thru.

I have a 2002 high tide 1503 with a yamaha 40 fourstroke on it. The motor is a tiller handle and runs great. I do not have a poling platform but one could be added without any trouble.
