mixing my oil

i have a 1997 225hp merc with 25hours on a complete rebuild im thinking about having the oil injection removed and mixing my on oil. im just a little scared of it quiting and i lose my motor any thoughts thanks

i had the same question a couple weeks ago, lots of replies in favor of removing oil pump, which i did. i had a friend have 3 mercs. burn up due to faulty oil pump.good luck!

chris v can i just mix my OIL untill i can get it to a mechANIC TO REMOVE THANKS

if you do, you are going to be double oiling, or the alarm is going to sound if the tank gets low
