Left South Island Ferry behind schedule at 5:45. P.S.A. to anyone going offshore from this ramp- there’s a low hanging telephone line right over the ramp at the waterline. You will only know it in the dark, in the rain, when your outriggers catch it and you hear them protest as you’re almost in the water backing down!
Nothing broke on my Marsh Tacky outriggers though. More confidence in them now than ever!
Eased on out to Winyah Bay.
Set the AP on the hole, and let Mojo eat when we shielded against the light rain.
Stopped about half way and explained how it wasn’t me who lied. These guys lied.
Still raining at that point in the trip, and the girls were not very happy.
Had to pull back for the last 10 miles of the run. Current and N-NWish wind had it slopped a little.
Nice mixed bag sir! I like that floor coffin box you have! Did you redesign that part of the boat or was it always like that?
The boat had what you see in the pic, but I extended it aft another 2ft with a smaller hatch over that portion. Used to be this with a bulkhead between the two.
Don’t know why I don’t have more pics of this area. It’s a nice big box now though.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Phin, only thing I see that you could have done better, was add a few more rod holders:wink: Good mess of fish! Like the smiles on the girls:smiley: What motor, did you finally put on her and what does she weigh in at:question:
Getting the womenzzzs involved will pay big dividends.Nothing like boxing up fish with the better half. She will be telling fish stories better than you before you know it…Congrats.
How did the new riggers perform besides VS the overhead wire? Looks like those are the internal rigging ones? Can’t really tell though. After real world testing, planning on any minor improvements?
