Very nice, Phin, love the lights in the wash, and a Suzuk’ 300, awesome.

Saw someone else has a Suzuk’ 250, on the posts.

I have owned 2 Suzuk’s, loved them both, how do you like yours?

Best decision I made on this rig was to go with the DF300AP over the old F250 or new F300. The engine is extremely quiet, smooth and strong. We burnt only 78 gallons on this trip also, and that would be far less if we hadn’t run 40mph most of the trip…

The engine makes noticeably more power when it’s cool vs when it’s hot and humid. Probably 4mph difference on top end in the winter vs summer. It seems the V8 yamaha’s are like this as well, so when you’re comparing engines make sure you’re looking what they do in the same temps and humidity.

I run NAPA filters and Rotella T3 in it, so maintenance is easy and cheap. The T3 out of 5 gallon buckets is what guys in remote areas I’ve seen around the world run in their Suzuki’s, so if it works for 1500hr a year charter guys, it’s going to be fine for me. Manual calls for SJ grade or better, and the T3 is SM I believe.

Just hit 100hrs during this trip so time for new oil and filter again. I change the filter every 6 months rather than only every 100hrs.
