Monday-Picked a good week weather wise to take off. Headed a little south Monday and found a hard edge and nice temp break with scattered weeds just offshore of sow pen in 300 feet. Got a couple of nice dolphin. Trolled out to 1000 feet with nothing much. Ran back into the break and got a few more. All singles and all nice size. Biggest fish of the day was 32# in the green water trolling toward home. Ended up with 7.
Wednesday- one of the calmest days ever. Put in in 140ft in green water inshore of the Edisto Banks. Got a nice cow. Trolled the banks with nothing. Pulled lines and made a short run to some of the best looking water I have ever seen. Really sharp edge with some weeds and sharp temp break. Unfortunately the fish were less impressed than I was. Got a nice bull then hooked a nice cow as we were resetting. A fish followed her to the boat so we tossed a live finger mullet on a spinning rod and it was on. Big bull jumping all over the place. Took my son 40 minutes to catch with a lot of help from my father at the wheel. Was worth the trip out for that one. Weighed just shy of 40. Picked up one more. Trolled back in to 140ft with nothing. 5 total. Seemed slow for everyone so was happy to get what we got. Hopefully will get some video up soon.
