Monday Clark's Hill Report

I picked up my friend Hunter around 5 AM, and we were at the Herring Hut baiting up by 6:15. We launched at Scott’s Ferry and moved out to the dam by 7:00 to look for suspended schools. However, it was nothing doing. After an hour or so of looking, we ended up around Monkey Islands at the mouth of Keg Creek. 56 feet of water, we boated several with 1 23 inch hybie and stripers 21-25 inches within 8 feet of the bottom. Around 10:30, that bite ended and, despite checking several places, we didn’t have another bite for 3 hours! Finally, I decided to move up GA Little River near the first bridge. There, we had a strong finish. No giants, but we kept 10 quality fish for the table.

It was nice to get out and try hard for a change! A good day despite following the super moon.
