Monday morning report

I played hooky from work tonight so I could fish this morning, since I didn’t get out yesterday. Put in at Koon’s about 7:30 and fished till about 12:30. I’d like to tell you where, but I’m sworn to secrecy.
The bite was pretty slow, even though I was marking a lot of fish. The first 2 came as a double header around 9:00. A fat 7 1/2 lbs. & a 5 lb. I managed to catch 2 more before calling it quits. Both about 4 1/2 lbs.

This is what I was seeing all morning.

I was pulling 2 boards on each side, a free line on a cork, plus a couple of down rods. I even stopped pulling boards, spot-locked & tried just down rods over the fish. Nothing but the four keepers on boards.
Oh well, it was nice to be on the lake with my fishing buddy.

Nice looking dog, Great shot of the graff!

Thanks. He’s my boy for sure.

Here’s one of my favorites from last year.

Bob, Why were you pulling boards so fast, 2.3 mph?

Rick, I took that picture when I was getting ready to head back to the ramp. I already had my lines in. Usually I pull somewhere around .7 - 1.0 mph., depending on the wind.

Nice screen shot, but what I really would have liked to see is a pic taken about 15 seconds before that one. You know, right before you switched over from a split screen to take that pic. lol

Bob, I’m sure the guy who told you about that area appreciates your steadfast commitment to confidentiality.

Fog, when someone asks me to keep something “just between us”, I tend to try and do just that.:sunglasses:
Plus I’m planning on hitting the same area next Sunday (weather permitting), with some different (new to me) techniques that I learned from a couple of guys here. Thanks to you know who!!:wink:
