Took the wife out for her first real fishing trip. Started off catching herring and dropped our lines in 50 feet of water near the swimming area of dam. After chumming for awhile I caught a couple small ones. Around 11 or so my wife had a hit and the rod slammed down. I let her fight the fish on her own (just making sure the rod didn’t end up in the water). She got it to the boat and it was her first striper being 26 inches long. She is now hooked and wants to go out again!
good one…did better than me…we got out this morning and right before we got to the big water the motor died and we had to troll back to the dock. Of course the graph lite up like a christmas tree as we sat there trying to figure the thing out.

Thanks. Ended up getting a sodium light from Rick and found a good deal on a small generator. With that being said, we almost didn’t get to fish due the generator not starting for awhile. Definitely glad it worked out because I’m usually the one were something has to go wrong.
