Monday Night

Trolling been very good after dark lately, so I figured it would be a good time to try and talk the wife into going. She actually decided to come along for the first time in 5 or 6 years.

Got on the water early, about 7:30, and headed over to Spence to kill some time and let Jack get in some swimming and exploring.

Started fishing right before dark and got the first fish about 9, then picked at them until we got #10 a little after 11.

Marked fish anywhere from 40-60+, but caught most in the 50’ range.

Way to go Tim! Some nice fish in the box.

Pretty box of fish! Great to a wife tag along!

Looked like a perfect evening. Nothing like spending quality time with your dog, child, friends, or significant other. That makes for the best fishing trip even if you don’t catch anything. Better pick them glasses up before you end up like me and step on them.

Actually they busted on impact. Seems like you can’t find good quality anything anymore. I’m tempted to go back to the Dollar Store and give them a piece of my mind!

I seen those glasses in the floor and immediately said “yup, that’s classic Tim right there” lol… Not sure how many times I have seen those hit the floor on his boat…ha

What type of lures are those and what methods are you using to get them that deep? We fished on the 3rd all day. Marked the crap out of fish near the bottom. Trolled U-rigs and did decent but I’m down to try new methods.

I was using downriggers. The plugs are 7" Rapalas.

The man is anal about his specs and his boat:smiley::sunglasses:

OK, I get it. Enough on the glasses jokes.

FYI, I stopped by WalMart at lunchtime yesterday and don’t plan on loosing any more glasses.

Also, I’m normally not one to flaunt my financial status, but I might mention that I upgraded to a $9.95 pair of specks as well.

Now if I can just remember where I laid them down to take that pic.

BIG spender…
I usually buy them at Sam’s. 3 pair for $20. That way I can usually keep a pair within sight, pun intended (if I can see them:smiley:)…

I know all about the glasses, I use to keep the drugstore payroll up. Its rough to get far sighted and can’t see to tie a hook! I think it has to do with gray hair! Got tired of all the different types of holders around my neck and coming unhooked from my glasses so I drilled a small hole in the ear pieces and tied a length of 60 # mono to them, haven’t lost or broken any since!
