Headed out of Murrells Inlet At about 6am to a slightly confused head sea heading to the Scarp. It was slow going averaging only about 15 knots . Arrived in 250 ft just as the wind picked up and had us doubting our decision to push on out. Just put out 4 lines without the outriggers due to the rocking and rolling. Cussed the weatherman a while then got a nice gaffer off of the deep rig. The wind slowed and the seas settled a bit so we put the riggers out and prayed it would not get any worse. The next hit was a smaller Mahi again on the deep rig in about 525 ft. We headed out deeper as the sea calmed down and picked up one more gaffer then the bite stalled. We couldn’t find anything but scattered weeds and we headed back to the area in 525 where we had luck before#128032;. Picked up 4 more gaffers and had one nice bull get off all in the same area and only when going with the waves ??? Pulled lines at 3:00 and headed back to at 26 knots and a great ride with that south wind to our back!
