Hey everybody, I’ve been on the site for a while but this is my first post. Not really a report but I wanted to comment on the fish tagging program run by DNR. From the middle of May to this point I’ve caught 7 biologist tagged redfish (orange tags) so far this summer. I reported each fish directly to John Archambault (in charge of orange tags) instead of the fish tag hotline. He responded to emails promptly and sent me the fish reports. While most of you know that you receive a shirt or hat for each tag you may not know about possible money rewards. For every tag you report your name is put into a raffle for that month. Each month there is a $10, $20, and $50 raffle. I won the $20 raffle for August and received my check today. This shows that these biologists truly care about this program and want to see it succeed. I encourage all of you that want to preserve this hobby to participate in helping them whenever you can. You never know, you may win some gas money.
