More Bait = Less Bites = :Q

Since the warmer weather has arrived, the bait in the creeks/inlets has exploded which has made it easier and cheaper to get bait (Menhaden). However, I’ve noticed that the bite has slowed down for me (reds)…has anyone else experienced this? I thought the rule of thumb was wherever there is bait there are fish, but I’m having a problem finding hungry fish because I think they are full from the buffet. Of course, with the poor water clarity I haven’t spotted any fish lately to observe that they just aren’t interested. Any words of wisdom? Thanks.
