Made a quick run yesterday to make sure the new blue mackerel would work as advertised. I got some good video to link up but here are a couple of fish taken in 100’ off SC.
All of those skinz are over used up, chewed up old jigs.
For fun we lost a lower unit 70 miles off. Somehow after swapping props twice it went back in gear just in time for the ride home, good times.
Steves it looks like they already are go to their web site.
Courtland with all the fish you are catching what is the life expediency of the wrap?
A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.
Life expectancy depends on what your catching. Toothy critter and reef bouncing shorten the life dramatically, like maybe a day.
AJ’s, largemouth bass and stripers, you’ll get a few trips for sure. I’ve caught AJ’s all day and the skin still looks new.
The main point of this product is the ability to change patterns and make all of your “used” tackle new again. Here is how I answered it on another forum:
John- They are not going to keep things new for any longer than the existing stickers and paint. The clear ones combat the chips and dings associated from hook rash and general banging around. The beauty of JigSkinz is those plugs that are tired can be refreshed and used again and again. How about changing colors for a hot bite? How about bringing 10 jigs to Panama and a bunch of skinz in stead of 10 jigs in 5 colors…
The gag jig after 2 solid fish.
Destroyed Wave Dancer after a wahoo and barracuda
This is that plug now. Still in use for $3 more, not in the trash…
