I love Charleston/intracoastal, I hate having to navigate the dumbass regatta of motorboats racing between no wake zones behind IOP this time of year. It’s a wonder we don’t read more reports of people wrecking than we do… I’m the guy going just up on plane so I can watch out for the others half the time.

I’ve been on the water my whole life… It may cost a little more in gas to haul ass, but it doesn’t cost a penny to be respectful.

I did the same drterry did. Didn’t even risk putting the boat in. Wife and I rode our bikes down to the IOP marina with a cooler of beer and watched the circus at the boat ramp. Always the best show in the late afternoon/early evening when all the drunks have been baking in the sun and try to dock/trailer their boats. You can tell the ones that haven’t been on the water since last summer.
