Decided to fish some docks for spottail for the first time. After a couple minutes I get my first hit, notice it is kind of fighting funny, then as I get it to the boat I realize it is a flounder. Land it, 13", so she goes back into the water. Would have been nice to have a keeper, but it is my first flounder, so I will take what I can get. Next dock, first cast, fish on, this time a slot red. No bites the rest of the morning. All fish caught on gulp shrimp.

Pungo 120No, jighead with rapala knot. Tied it straight to the line. Was using a fluorocarbon leader, but since I am fishing mono it seems pointless so I stopped using it and fish don’t seem to mind. One less knot to worry about breaking.
